I don't mind this. Storywise it's a totally fine structure for a fantasy quest: have an original goal, face an impossible obstacle, go on a journey to become powerful enough to overcome the obstacle, return to do so.

In theory neither do I, in practice neither Ala Mhigo nor Doma is sufficiently developed and the characters from both suffer for it. Lyse and Hien being the main offenders of flat, unrealized characters.

What's the best way to level once you hit late 60s? I've gone from having a two or three-level surplus to being locked out of the story until I hit 67. I ran 50/60 roulette but it gave me basically nothing.

Don't overlook your daily hunt targets. Completing all 15 will get you ~1.6 million exp per day, and added bonus you can spend those seals once you hit 70 on 330 gear.

e. Also beast tribe quests are another easy source of ~1.5 mil exp per day.

I just want Square to stop being weird and Japanese about gendered equipment. I can have armor that gives my female character a completely male torso along with pecs and abs, but god forbid I wear a different cut of pants.

But I can see why it's tough, as there are literally zero real-world examples of women wearing men's fashions or vice-versa.

Edit: Also give me Au Ra that act anything at all like Au Ra NPCs instead of the weird schoolgirl fantasy body language they have now

I think this has more to do with SE making the equipment models based on character models instead of like WoW where armor just stretches over whatever model it happens to be on. Though I do agree with your sentiment.

There are some buffs like 10% more exp from mobs, but nothing really major. The FC leader also picks which buffs are active so you may not even get the buffs you want.

Any FC that isn't 100% composed of old grumps who have level 70 on every job should have at least a 10% xp buff up at all times, and if they don't then you should find a better FC.

FCs also give you access to private rooms (which you can own in addition to an apartment and a house) and the workshop where you can build house glamours or send airships and submarines out to maybe hopefully find what you want this time goddamnit not ice clusters.

Oh lemme tell ya, that time in PBC. Less weakness time and food buff. I'm not bad so I don't need the lessen the weakness debuff after getting a res, and I'm not bad so I don't need to rely on food buffs :smuggo:

depends on the FC. It's kind of like the garden in that respect: entirely depends on what your FC is willing to let people do. But any FC that exclusively hordes airship access to the leader is probably not a very good FC.

I never said it was complicated in the guide, the only time I bring up difficulty is saying that Mages are harder to master and that the john madden meme came from ferals which was appropriate during WOTLK. The main criteria is which classes will make your life less miserable prioritizing how often you will be invited to groups. Playing as Cat Druids over time make you think all ARR Dragoon jokes were extremely tame in comparison. The misery only grows over time, steadily, like a vortex of hopelessness. You close your eyes and all you can see are owls. Owls everywhere. Even one of the cat skins is an owl. Blizzard knows.

The problem with open access to airships/submarines is how limited they are. The most an FC can have is four going out, and missions can take days to run, and you probably won't even get what you're after. (Like I still don't have an Abroader Otter from my personal FC's submarsibles after weeks.) So TPT's submersibles are primarily run by one person, but whatever junk they bring back isn't personally pocketed.

It's also worth asking in chat if anyone has a garden or airships sitting idle. I'm currently working on getting jute and a minion, but there have been times in the past where my personal gardens and ships were sitting idle for months at a time.

Oh yeah, that's a much better way of putting it than I did, thanks. It's not necessarily that a FC has to have open access or they're bad, just be leery of any FC that doesn't at least spread the love (even though a lot of the time said love is mostly just junk...).

Certain fish require certain skills to be used/active to land them. IIRC snagging is specifically for stuff like corals and clams and stuff.

Mooch 2 doesn't require a hq proc but costs gp.

Mooch can only be used on HQ fish. Mooch II works on NQ moochable fish.
Fish Eyes enables you to catch certain fish, period. If it's not active, you can't catch 'em.
Snagging lets/helps you catch things that don't bite, like coral and treasure maps. You probably don't want Snagging on if you're trying to gather specific fish that don't require it, as you'll broaden your catch table.

Just a cage of bones, there's nothing inside.
Eureka was [mostly] good, Baldesion is good and I encourage everyone to get in on the action while the zeitgeist is at its apex. It's basically just a 24man<Extreme> but with up to 56 people instead. Right now you should probably hang out with the discord crew but before much longer I expect it won't be unreasonable to be able to hotjoin it and see clears for a few weeks at least.

My advice is don't be fooled by the hilarious pricetags on any of the BA-related cosmetics/trade-in items, it'll all crash very soon. Extra magicite via nonsense like Skoll's Fangs is for big dick parsing in content that's going to be dead when 5.0 drops and is fully unnecessary for actually getting your Demi-Ozma. Mill yourself through the early pulls to get Eureka Fragments for some Elemental+2 armor (sans chest or chest+head if you're a caster) and you'll be in perfectly fine shape.
