As for Ideas, I'm pretty surprised. The ISS was great, but probably too big or finicky. Neither of the SpaceX ones looked very good, but it would have been nice to have master builder-designed Falcon 9. Next round, I don't think any of them but the food stands. The fossils don't look great, the ship is too big, the piano is too complex, and the chemical plant is too...weird.

I'll send you mine for the cost of shipping.

Well, there's 70828 Pop-Up Party Bus from TLM2. Which I bought because there's a bunch of trans purple pieces and also bunch of those new 2x2 w/ 1x2 centered brackets. Oh, and Discokitty.

I am very much into that chemical plant. I love industrial settings and have been saying for the longest time we need something like a steel foundry.

The designer of the chemical plant is right up your alley then. He has at least a few other industrial designs on Ideas, and if not ideas his personal website has a bunch of them. He's quite good at it.

Chris McVeigh, one of my very favorite builders, got hired by LEGO and is closing his shop in 6 days. I own two of his sets and cannot recommend his work enough. He's selling out the rest of his stock and most of it is gone, but I couldn't resist picking up this guy, the specific original one that was on display at the LEGO House for a year. Extremely excited.

I want to try to recreate a screen accurate version starting with the torch platform Lucy and Emmet stand on in the trailer.

I want the minifigs from the set but the rest of it doesn't do much for me.

It's funny you say that because I kind of landed on it being a set I'd love to build, but don't actually really want to own. I like it in theory, and it's not that it's not cool looking but I don't know how much I'd want to display it. I kind of had that initial excitement when I first saw it that I got when I first saw Ninjago City, but it wore off and it really doesn't do it for me like NC does.

That's pretty much how I feel. I don't want to display it. It's cool. I recognize that it is cool. I think it would be a great play set. But on display it just looks messy and bland. I have Joker Manor on the other side of the room and that one pops. It looks really good. Same with so many other sets.

WtA was really interesting to build. A lot of clever stuff and it is very stable. It doesn't look like it would be, but it is. The technics work is very well done.

It took the place of Destiny's Bounty. And I think I might just find something else to display instead. Maybe a castle or something. I need to rummage around in my storage closet for something different.

It's just an odd feeling. Usually I'm so excited to build something new and big like this and happy to display when I am done. But this one, nope. :smith:

A Lego store I went to the other day had a built, non-kragled WtA set out on display. Getting to turn it around and open it up and look at all the details inside was very cool. It also completely killed any desire to own it for me too.

Anyone know why older BrickHeadz had this tile with the number 1 on the base? https://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-6188632

Was it a series marker they gave up on?

It looks like the first years retails sets have it. And about 1/2 the second years have a 2. And that's it.

Your theory is probably correct.

1969 AMC Hurst/SC Rambler. I love the general form factor of this adorable little muscle car, but it's the arrow graphic pointing into the scoop that made me want to actually build it. The front of this thing is a bit complex (try to figure out how that white 1x6 tile under the headlights is attached!) but it actually turned out to be one of my more stable finished models, which is nice. Comfortably seats a fig, steering wheel, gauges, etc. The wheels don't freely turn on this one, though. I could have made them do so with technic bricks and half pins, but it's more stable this way and I like the ride height and ground clearance a lot. It's so sleek!

The color blocking on this one makes me happy.

This minifig is so good.

Finally, due to many requests, I've started uploading instructions to Rebrickable. Thanks so much for the support.
