I think we too often fail to recognize when looking at systemic/sociology issues (of all types, but including racial Injustice) that things we accurately hold to be true are only true in the aggregate. I think there's a tendency to knee jerk attack concerns about individual experiences because conservatives use them to try to discredit the overall concept (and from an academic standpoint anecdote isn't the singular of data and all that). I think there's a tendency because of that to try to pretend unjust outcomes on the individual level flat out don't exist by pointing to the aggregate instead of acknowledging that a policy is unjust for some but corrects more Injustice that it creates. The reperations issue is particularly difficult in this regard because of the magnitude of the difference of the individual experiences and the inherent impossibility of measuring or knowing them. Which isn't too say they shouldn't be done. I think targeting specific ways racism has created systemic and generational injustices is probably the best both because it works toward solving the actual problem and because it will benefit those most who have been most harmed (i.e. the reperations will be filtered back through the same systems that created the problems). .

Ya know what? Physicians knew exactly what oxycontin did and exactly how addictive it was. The ability of physicians to deflect blame for literally everything is staggering. They're run the show as the supreme medical patriarchy and blame everyone else when poo poo goes down. Why? Because they're happy as gently caress to keep collecting checks from addicts and insurance who need a prescription in-person for C-II meds. Nationalizing healthcare will require taking physicians down a peg or four. They just love the current gravy train.
