His 1080ti based system couldn't do better than 55fps and regularly dropped to ~40, even with the graphics settings turned down to "high" vs "ultra". The objective system is also pretty weak, as there didn't seem to be any indication on the map of where your objectives are. I dunno it looked like Halo + Star Wars + EA so not my jam. My buddy was only playing it until Division 2 comes out.

It’s really funny on the Anthem subreddit. There’s the typical anti-critic backlash to reviews but also an element of acknowledgement that the game is bad and being scored lower than FO76 is painful. Lol

It’s like AAA games are broken industry-wide right now. Apex was some hype-less budget side project and it’s eating Anthem’s lunch despite Anthem taking 6 years of development time.

All I know is I'm looking forward to Outer Worlds. That, Doom Eternal, and Cyberpunk 2077 are the only games I'm really excited for this year.

Yeah according to my buddy who is a weapons artist at bioware, they have an entire group dedicated to trawling the Anthem reddit page to see what needs to be changed/fixed. They already fixed the flying (it apparently used to be nearly uncontrollable dogshit on pc), so it's good that they're at least listening to the community.

Tried an hour or so of Anthem last night. It's kind of a worse made warframe. The gunplay is meh, the flying around is sort of a pain to control and holyfuck the loading screens. No idea the fps I had but I was running on ultra with a 2080 rtx and it seemed fine.
