The dog poop bags remind me of Twinkle Tush, these sparkly covers that hide your cat’s anus.

Can’t wait to dig around my cat’s poopy litter tray to retrieve it.

That's legit one of the worst things I've ever seen, and I've seen some poo poo.

Edited to clarify: both the dogpooper and the twinkletush, not the tattoo, which is so terrible it's rad

Pretty sure the twinkle tush was originally meant as a joke for a portfolio piece or something.

Edit: wait. I'm thinking of the original thing that was supposed to hide your cats anus. I know one of them was shaped like a pine air freshener.

That wag closer to a decade ago.

Someone who's bought yarn before, talk some sense into me. Any downsides or cautions I should take? I was looking at these listings, and they seem decent and pretty:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/50g...2820442012.html

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/good-price-and-high-quality-100-wool-yarn-for-hand-knitting/32391528294.html

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hig...2945809771.html

I just need some spare yarn to supplement the blanket of random yarns I'm making.

Do not, just do not.

The first is a knockoff of Noro Kureyon. The real thing is cheaper, but the real thing is also a bad idea because it's single-ply and because Noro has a ton of VM.

The second is a knockoff of Knitpicks Chroma. Same price as the real thing, but knitpicks is super sketchy, a lot of people are boycotting. Also has one loosely spun ply.

Third might be the same or Schoppel Zauberball. There's another one on the tip of my tongue that's just not coming to me. This listing is at least cheaper, but who knows what you'll get.

Otoh, none of the originals are yarns I would recommend either. Nicer materials will feel more pleasant to knit with. More plies and more tightly spun plies will help with durability.

on the other hand if you want chroma, i've never had my credit card number stolen via aliexpress, which is not something i can say about knitpicks.

Yup that's exactly what I meant by how shady knitpicks is. Any company can be hacked, blah blah, but knitpicks claimed not to be storing credit card info at all, while actually they were storing it online and insecurely. Then they decided to cover up the hack and just not tell customers about it ever.

I feel like when they started, like 10-15 years ago, they did actually have yarn that was both cheap and surprisingly good at its price point. But once the brand and name recognition were built, the original couple handed the company to their son iirc, and the quality went down and the prices went up amazingly.

In conclusion, gently caress those guys, but aliexpress yarn is still probably worse somehow

Thank you. The pretty colors are so alluring, but it's not worth it if the material is that lousy or overpriced. I'll stick with name brand stuff. Plus, it occurs to me maybe the name brand stuff may not be made by political prisoner / slave labor in china. Right? Right... :ohdear:
