lmao i just love the way that the overwhelming majority of the libs in the MSM totally believe Trump is racist but are shocked at people who just straight say it because for some reason they've bought into the idea that you can't make obvious inferences in reporting so long as a human being exists who doesn't agree with your conclusion. They're all feverishly searching for the SMOKING RACISM GUN that will take him down and then one "radical" with a thimble of sense waltzes in and says "duh, he's racist, look at this fucker and his life"

The whole insane quote is really quite something:

“I have broken more Elton John records. He seems to have a lot of records. And I, by the way, I don’t have a musical instrument. I don’t have a guitar or an organ. No organ. Elton has an organ. And lots of other people helping. No, we’ve broken a lot of records. We’ve broken virtually every record. Because you know, look, I only need this space. They need much more room. For basketball, for hockey and all of the sports, they need a lot of room. We don’t need it. We have people in that space. So we break all of these records. Really, we do it without, like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical – the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth, right? The brain. More important than the mouth is the brain. The brain is much more important.”

the way trump speaks is actually really easy to listen to and it's absolutely in his favor and not embarassing.

Listening to Obama sounded official, but other than as a signal of education and power it wasn't like, fun.

you like the message, but I'm saying trump could read a book about the history of the field of geology or w/e and make it kinda pleasurable to listen to in a way Obama can't. Obama is an orator and Trump is the guy at the party who tells good stories, the latter being much more charismatic even when you know the stories are made up

While I can't speak for Modest Mao, I think I agree with his meaning which is that Trump sounds like a normal guy and that's relatable in a way. Like Roosevelt, I personally can't listen to the guy because of the lying and factual inaccuracies, but I could definitely see where if I didn't care or know that he was lying that I could enjoy listening to him.

That said, asking Trump to read anything out loud would be torture since you know he wouldn't know half the words and he'd stumble all over them. I don't think he'd get through My Pet Goat much less a geology textbook.

I also can't agree with Obama seeming unrelatable because, well, he just isn't.

You have to look at Obama through the lens of someone who hates him. It's a black man who speaks in a way that shows he's educated. He's the uppity black man personified.
