The diy thread is a great read now, not just for the burns but for all the people pointing out flaws with a designer/builder eye, like the shower benches being nowhere near the direction of the water flow from the shower heads. Or the baseboard near the tub cpntinuing past where the tile stops a few inches and then cutting off in the worst of both asthetics. Or the fact that there's no door in the room's doorway.

I lived in fancy hotel room when on a business trip once, and their bathroom looked kind of similar. Not that spacious, of course, but they also really pushed their brand colours (red and grey) and faux marble textures. That bathroom was driving me mad.

Oh god someone post the old version of the shower he ruined. He turned a beautiful open soaker tub into a cramped half-measure between a gym shower and massage spa tub. He managed to make it small and dark despite opening up his walls with windows. He left the ceiling white and it somehow looks completely out of place/unfinished with his hosed up AMC Theatre bathroom aesthetic. Big Mad Drongo posted:John Romero's about to make you slip.
