If it's the best or not is not really relevant. It's about how people rationalize their usage of a media. It's the positioning that people can't be without it that is weird. This position comes up almost weekly for me, people acknowleding that facebook is bad, and they want to quit, but they just wont because ~reasons~. (And yes people are always free to use whatever and for whatever reason)
