Was going to make a joke about how it was going to make more than all Guy Richie's other films combined, but checked the numbers and both the Sherlock Holmes films did close to or around $200 million. I've gotta buck the trend here and say that looked way better than I assumed. Still not good enough for me to watch it, though. Unless I read glowing reviews from people who hated the Beauty and the Beast remake.

The rumor a couple months back was that the next live action Disney remake was going to be The Nightmare Before Christmas, which sounds like such a bad idea that I wouldn’t be surprised if it was nonsense and never in the cards to begin with.

Jafar doesn't look or sound menacing enough, and I expected Will Smith to be the problem based on the teasers. I'm going to take my seven year old step-daughter to this and probably have a good time, even though I generally think the live action adaptations are heartless.
