I realized it's gotten out of control. I realize I'm out of control.
I think you can use them without issue, they are just classified as lizardmen because those were models from wfb 8th edition that were officially discontinued when AoS came out.

Depending on the model they may have to be taken as a ally just because of how things came down.

An example is if I play ogors an want a Fire Belly that single model takes up an ally option at least for matched play.

man I love the idea of all this Khorne stuff, but as someone else mentioned recently I do not love their models. Some have comically oversized arms or are just weirdly proportioned, all the Garrek's Reavers styled light infantry look kind of dumb, and I dislike a lot of their weapons.

I guess this is all a good thing because I can't afford a second army even if I wanted to, but I want to like them :(

I've got the same issue with the Plague Marines. I love the concept, but I am not a fan of the models.

Most likely it'll all be together, possibly combined with Beast Claws. The separation was just fallout from how aos dropped an they just were just left as is till this update deops.

Ya they done this with most armies
- bray reunited with warherds & Thunderscorn
- all the skaven clans
- gloomspite
- All the undead stuff under the umbrella of the legions of nagash

I'd be very surprised if Ogres didnt become the ogre kingdoms again, under a new name of course

Hell one of the best features of AoS was pretty much combining the daemons and mortals back together for chaos.

I like the models, and then realize they're miserable to paint :sigh: Have $400 of models and I've painted like a unit of Pox, Plague Marines, and a Bloat Drone lol.

Hey so I was digging around in my garage and I found my copy of the 2007 reprint of Warhammer Mighty Empires with the tiles and whatnot. Looks like this: https://miniset.net/sets/gw-99020299001

It's still complete and I guess at some point I painted all the tiles so it looks nice. Anyway, is this worth anything as like an OOP cool collector thing - or now that Warhammer Fantasy Battles is dead is it kinda useless?

getting as much mileage out of the Total War: Warhammer soundtracks as they can I see. not really a criticism, it's actually good the music is that recognizable

Settra would never kneel to Sigmar.

Autism Sneaks

Settra was devout up to point he ritually sacrificed all his children to the gods of Nehekhara to restore the land and be anointed Priest King, and Sigmar does give him the true immortality Settra had created the Mortuary Cult to deliver. He could also have incomplete memories/personality compared to his time in the World-That-Was like Balthasar Gelt, or just be biding his time for revenge against Nagash/the Chaos Gods like he did in The End Times.

I would guess Incomplete Memories. I doubt Settra would ever kneel to a god that he was older than.

My interest for warcry has dropped considerably. If I can be a tzeentch worshipping gang of nutters I'll survive, but it's not what I was hoping for at all :(

I suppose AoS Necromunda isn't too bad really. I'm not enamored by the prospect of more niche plastic, but hopefully it can be fun.

I’m super excited for it. I believe it’s set currently but I love the idea of potentially lifting the veil slightly on the Age of Chaos. What were average Joe bad guy up to? The models are fantastic as well. I also think AoS does a better job of integrating small specialist game releases than 40K does into the main rule set (as in you want to run them in the main game as well as the rules are fun and not the most beige thing ever).

Kill teams mistake was not releasing new models for factions. That would help drive sales I reckon.

IIRC, the starter sold very well but none of the faction boxes with the cards did.

Yes, but using them in 40K proper is painful and janky due to weird Detachment fuckery and stuff not taking up slots, needing to deploy within 6” or whatever of one another etc. Whereas Shadespire models just slot in, and stuff like Mollog’s mob have good rules.

Orruks, ironjaws, bonesplittaz all bring something a little different so it be a weird move not to combine them into a large force under something similar to the skaventide

You can always field less than the min unit number but you still have to pay the full amount for the unit. Ie. even if you only field 8 you pay the point cost for 10 of them.

Rather than trying to field those extra models you can turn them into other useful units.

Buy two start collecting, then you can field 15 knights and a scar-vet on cold one which you can make out of spare carnosaur parts. :science:
