Possibly stupid question, but I have looked around before asking: is there a general feminism thread on the forums? I have a friend who keeps talking about radfem vs libfem, and I'd like to know if there's somewhere i can go to get up to date and not sound like an idiot. I'd rather not try to discuss anything based on what little I remember from college. I really don't like/trust anything political off of SA, as it tends to be full of trolls/shitheads.

My proposal for the Middle East is to give the Palestinians to Canada and send the Israelis to Australia then glass that area or turn it into an amusement park/museum called Holy Land and the profits from tickets sold will go to charitable causes. We would have Jesus’ Cave of Wonder, The Red Sea run where you have to get through parted water before it caved on you, etc.

One of the only real concrete paragraphs I can find is: The Trump administration also proposes simplifying the student loan system and says Congress "should consolidate the five income-driven repayment options into one simple plan that caps monthly payment at 12.5 percent of a borrower’s discretionary income," and "should extend loan forgiveness to all undergraduate students (after 180 months of repayment through an income-driven repayment plan). The bolded part is a pretty good step forwards imo but I don't know if the 12.5% cap is higher or lower than it was before

Most of the plans cap at 10% of discretionary income and forgive after 240 months. It's just adjusting the terms of our indentured servitude.

As they've come up with new plans, the numbers have been approaching this. I think it's a good idea. Better idea would be moving to 120 payments but what can you do?
