Owls are basically cats with wings. Which is why you get quite a few close bonds between cats and owls (do a youtube search, it happens quite often). Very similar expressions, body language, eyes. Enough that they can recognise a kindred spirit imo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iqmba7npY8g

Met this little one out for a walk yesterday. Super affectionate and chatty until it was sitting on my lap getting pets. At this point it was constant purring, kneading and head booping. Mum came along to check out and make sure everything was good and take a few pets herself. A++ would definitely walk down this street again.

There was an alpaca farm that brought one to a nearby Christmas market. It looked like the first one in line there, if it had been shampooed and blow dried. Fluffiest alpaca ever. The tiny hat it wore at a jaunty angle just made it far too squee.

Went out my back door a couple of days ago, and saw five cats in my back yard. This one had clearly been waiting for a menu for some time.  I chased them out and they all ran to the road at the front of the house. Uh-oh, looks like they're ready to rumble...  No, cats, stop it. There are children watching!
