Let's say the room is 100 feet long, makes that straightaway look about 75 feet.
Straightening the track in my mind into a triangle with 3 equal sides, that's 225 feet total. Pure guess.

The lap timer at 3:16 has one of the slower racers at 2.214 sec/lap, so let's bump that to 2.25 sec/lap.

2.25 sec to go 225 feet, that's an easy average 100 feet/sec = 68 miles per hour.

However, these cars look to be are 1/24 scale, so scale speed is 1635mph. Or Mach 2.14. Average.

Yakuza minigames relies on a different type of car, made from tamiya, called mini4wd. The difference is that the battery is contained in the car and relies on a set of springs and pusher bars at the ends to keep in the lane while a slot car gets the power from the rail and relyies on the slot to keep itself in the lane. :spergin:

There's a slot car sim on Steam in Early Access and it looks kinda rad.

That's a Geo Tracker/Suzuki Sidekick, which is a first gen Escudo. Which is what the fairing on the Pikes Peak car ostensibly resembles.

Are manual transmissions a deficit for high speed runs with plenty of runway?

I haven't looked into the car spec, but is it a standard H-gate manual, or have they put a sequential cam setup in there? You can run those with paddle shift.
