I don't understand who this product is for. People who want to look 'tough' but have never actually heard any metal? People in communities with no metalheads so nobody can recognize how fake they are?

I think it'd work as a costume or set piece, but also I definitely want one, I'm a huge PAGAN ALICE fan

New Abnormality tune:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YV0kV5ULjl4

Despite the title, it is not a Nazi song (as if a band fronted by a brown woman would be writing Nazi music). It's actually about getting extremely violent and brutal revenge on a rapist. The lyrics feel really emotionally charged and personal, which is... gently caress.

If you want a modern tribute band with a similar tone, try Orchid. They aren't as good as Sabbath but more music is never bad.

If you want to try something that really influenced Sabbath, look up Budgie.

Not really sure what you consider an "obvious band" since you just posted that you've never listened to Sabbath...

Do you mean proto-metal stuff like Blue Cheer, Budgie, Bang, etc. or are you talking about proper early metal?

It's weird how few people are really into Sabbath outside the old Ozzy classics considering how incredible and how generally even their output has been through their career. Ozzy and Dio are obviously legends, but even the albums with the "lesser" singers—Tony Martin (who would have gone down as an all-time great on his own merits if he hadn't followed Dio) and Ian Gillan (a legend in his own right, but an awful fit for Sabbath)—are filled with classic tunes. It took them until 2013, nearly fifty years into their career, before they released the first thing I would even consider calling a bad album.

The title track of Headless Cross is a good place to get acquainted with the Tony Martin era

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2SrLC3LXqQ

The whole Tyr album is over the top great

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaQ6go3H8oY

It's my understanding that Tony Martin would have still been the singer on Dehumanizer (hot take: Black Sabbath's best album) if the record label hadn't gotten involved and insisted on either Ozzy or Dio being the singer on that album.

Sabbath aside: veering into hard rock territory, I have a serious soft spot for Uriah Heep's first couple albums

Rainbow and Dio are some of the more obvious to consider. But Pentagram, Saint Vitus, Trouble and Witchfinder General are all gems if you wanna dig a little deeper.

Blue Cheer.

You could sort of make an argument for Arthur Brown since he had a huge influence on early metal, but he's about as metal as Ghost is. Still better, though.
