Sanctions by design are meant to harm the most vulnerable people in whatever country they're leveraged against and are always bad as a consequence = an ideologically consistent opinion e. Not that I think Warren is "bad", I like her, but "sanctions" are less than useless.

I dunno how meaningful this is but I would 100% support Warren if she had Bernie's poll numbers. Don't get me wrong, I like Bernie (quite a bit, I've already given him $100), but I'm not a True Internet Socialist or whatever the cool kids here are, so I'm not only OK with "saving capitalism from itself", I think that's preferable than trying to to invent the one form of a command economy that will magically work. Of course Bernie really isn't any more socialist (in the technical sense) than Warren, but Warren is smarter and would be more likely to accomplish that goal. But Bernie's at 25% and Warren's at 5% and she's not that much better that I'm gonna waste my time and/or money for a marginally better candidate who seems like a less talented politician. Edit: Which is to say that for me, but probably not for most people here, neither Bernie or Warren would be a compromise candidate.

Honestly the thing that makes Butt stand out so much is his willingness to talk frankly about the structural changes that the next Dem administration has to make happen that are 100% required for the future of life on Earth, and I hope he gets as far along in the primary as possible if only to make court stacking and killing the filibuster talking points that everyone needs to have a position on.
