Best option would be Subs, dub 1.0(non-directors cut) and dub 2.0 tiffany grant, spike spencer, allison keith, tristan macavery, all the OGs ARE the characters as far as I'm concerned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zMN9JyF7RM I still get tingles regarding everyone's performance in this scene.

I only watched Eva subbed so I got no skin in the game but it's kinda assholish that they went so far as to hold auditions and never even get in touch with the original cast until they found out about it thru other people. Usually that's not a good sign in Brazil, I'm not sure if it matters wrt dub quality in the USA.

If the original cast was uniformly terrible or several of the main VAs weren’t available it would make sense to have a fresh start to appeal to a wider audience rather than cater to the fan base. But they generally weren’t bad, and have probably gotten better in the intervening 20 years so it’s something else, such as: = Netflix didn’t want to pay their rates and is going to hire a bunch of unknowns. = Netflix will get a bunch of A list voices, George Clooney as Gendo. = Tiffany Grant left 100 messages on somebody’s answering machine at Netflix when she heard about the dub and they now have a restraining order against her. = Someone found Spike Spencer’s old blog. Amusingly, Amanda Winn Lee was already replaced by Brian Palencia as Rei in the Rebuild dub so she may be even more upset at being twice snubbed.

A friend of mine met Tristan McAvery and apparently he had a lot of bad things to say about the old Dub crew, especially Tiffany and her husband. And he was still pissed at being ignored for the Rebuild Dubs. This is friend of a friend said level of stuff so take it with a huge grain of salt. the escape goat posted:Waking up to that menu on loop at 3am is... an experience.
