^ Yup, I understand these are my choices. I'll probably stick with the two phones since the wait time in catching allows me to manage the other phone. Fast catch text version: •Tap and hold either the berry or ball menu button on the catch screen and slide that finger out of the way without letting go. •Use other hand/finger to throw the ball as desired. •Once the throw is successful and the mon goes in the ball, let go of the first finger. This should bring up whichever menu the button you tapped was on. •Tap on anywhere but the balls/berries to get rid of that menu. The run button should now be available and you can tap on it to run. •Back on the overworld, feel free to go to the next Pokemon or check your box to see if you caught it. The original Pokemon's model will probably still be on the overworld, but if you had caught it, tapping on it will give you an error and it'll go away.

What part fails for you? I would assume the part where you're throwing the ball and having two fingers on the screen might be the breaker for most people. I just have to make sure that first finger doesn't move or change pressure much or else it might disrupt my throw.

I mean yeah technically but I also want a little assurance that the throw was successful at all and that it didn't whiff or the mon jumped/attacked at the last second. Also I ain't got a Gotcha but maybe I'll ask for one for my birthday because it's not something I feel like messing with immediately.

Incense Pokemon stick around on screen, so either remember which one is the incense so you don't click it again or don't fast catch. Easy way to tell if you clicked on a Pokemon is they will turn and face your avatar.

My Go-tcha somehow came out of its bracelet when I was in Austin a couple weeks ago (not sure it it just fell out or someone managed to swipe it without me noticing) so I’ve had to readapt to not having it. Probably gonna try and learn quick catch.

With fast catch trick, the game still play the catch animation, but when you release the hold on berry/ball icon, it will open and the run away icon will appear, so you can skip the animation by running away. If the berry/ball tab and run away icon didn't appear then you must have done it wrong, most likely the game didn't register your hold on the icon. I can do the trick, but most of the time the ball just goes off to the side. Pretty much have to put my phone on the table to do it consistently, which is not an option when walking around during CD. Pushing the button over so it starts to swell up a little is really important, you also need to release it more or less immediately once you’ve thrown the ball or the berry menu won’t come up. Don’t hesitate at all. It took me a few tries but I got it pretty easy after watching the video.

If I put my phone down on the desk, press the berry button, slide it slowly so that the berry icon enlarges without it deciding I've let go, and then manage to get a ball spinning for the curve without the game deciding the touches are wrong and flying off the side of the screen, then manage to do all of this without whiffing the throw because of a jump/attack animation, I can get it to appear. By which time it's now taken twice as long as a normal catch, defeating the purpose anyway, and I don't get to walk around with a desk. I'm gonna stick to normal catching. Who on Earth is using the berry button? I take my left thumb, put it on the ball button and drag it clean across to the other side of the screen. Then spin and throw with right index finger. It doesn't matter how far you move the button as long as you tap it, pull to the left or right and don't remove that hold until the ball lands.

I ended up getting one of those keychain fob accessories so the Go-tcha pretty much always stays on my keys and never leaves my pocket.

Giratina Origin Forme is gonna own bones because it has just very slightly less dps than Gengar if comparing the same moveset of Shadow Claw/Shadow Ball, but Giratina has waaaaaaay more stamina and defense which means you can fire off more shots. Plus most people don't even have Shadow Claw Gengar anyway so this will be a real boon for getting ghost type attackers. Gengar SC/SB dps: 18.52 Giratina SC/SB dps: 17.03 Gengar DEF/STA: 149/155 Giratina DEF/STA: 187/284 Willsun fucked around with this message at 22:59 on Mar 26, 2019 |

Yeah but Gengar is the best Pokémon in the entire franchise while Giratina looks like it was designed by your eight year old nephew after drinking six cans of Jolt Cola. Gengar Club is just too sweet.
