I met my fiancee on coffee meets bagel. They solve the dick pic problem by only giving you a small number of matches a day (think 5). And you can only communicate if you both agree, plus there is a one week timer and then you can't talk any more to encourage setting up an actual date. Sites that aren't Tinder are getting fairly creative at solving the dick pic spam problem, but that's not really the issue. The poster that pointed out how as you age you slowly start getting socially isolated if you're not with someone is absolutely right. I see it happening with my group of friends now. The ones who are married don't really see the single ones any more. What happens when you're the last single person and suddenly you don't see your friends any more and you feel frustrated and isolated? It's no accident the alt-right takes recruitment strategies from Islamic extremists and cults. The whole point is to find isolated young men, make them feel wanted, and then radicalize them. The best way to shut them down is to stop young men from getting frustrated/angry at the world and isolated, but that's easier said than done. I don't even know how we start to fix it.

I hang out with married people all the time. I know married people with children and still voluntarily hang out with them. Where does this idea come from that you "can't " be part of a friend's life once they're married?

Unless you are literally horrendously deformed, your appearance is a relatively small part of the whole 'attraction package' for women. I am a solid 6 as far as looks go but I have had a lot of success dating, because I present as someone that women would like to get to know. If you think women aren't dating you because you aren't attractive enough, then you will never get a date because you are blind to the real reasons as to why women aren't interested in you right now. Fix those, and you can get a date no matter what you look like.
