The administration has incompetently intervened politically and economically into Venezuela, continues to fund the starvation of Yemen, and flails wildly in Syria and Afghanistan. The Trump Administration routinely flouts the laws on corruption and has rendered the Supreme Court hopelessly far-right for a generation. Congressional Republicans display impressive incompetence, especially in the House, which the Democratic Party now controls as of January. Democratic politicians, businessmen, and other figures continue to throw their hats into the ring to challenge Trump in 2020, with Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Kamala Harris leading in the polls as of this writing. Impeachment of the president seems unlikely. Democratic congressional leadership is feckless and afraid of the consequences when the Republican Senate invariably declines to convict. Meanwhile, we continue to race towards the precipice on global warming – all while Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ Green New Deal initiative is mocked and derided by the centrist press and establishment. Hey Mods, I've been meaning to ask this in the other threads, but they seem to be well in by the time I remember. When the thread title changes, would mods be able to add the updated thread title to the OP with a link to the post or page that inspired the change. It would be a handy "Contents" page and would also be a nice track of events as they transpired. Would also allow people who miss numerous name changes in a day (when they happen) to keep up.
