the Promare trailer was really hard to follow, to me. Like it was just a chaotic jumble of shapes and colors all at the same sort of over-fried brightness rather than coherent action.

Looks like everything Imaishi makes but more pastel. Incidentally I watched Abenobashi recently and it was amazing how much the episodes Imaishi directed and/or storyboarded (the giant robot and Hollywood ones) stand out from the rest.

That clip reminds me of this weird anime Christopher Columbus VHS that randomly appeared in our collection one year. I think it came with a box of gummy fruits, too.

The english voices for Magilou and Eleanor sound almost exactly the same to me. Other than that though they're great and I should have been using the english voices from the start.
