ICR had alpha access if I remember discussions in the discord correctly. He didn't seem quite so clear cut on "game bad" there, but I know I hadn't seen anything yet that made me think it would be better than mediocre.

It was the recent streams in which they basically in a roundabout way said they have no idea what a 3rd class could be and made it sound like the most challenging thing ever. And then monetizing everything. More than they really need to. And plenty of other issues they basically went into that made me wonder if they have ever done a multiplayer game before. I know they have but it was major yikes.

i played 2 seasons of diablo 3 and it was fun enough, but, i never felt like i wanted to play a 3rd. not much staying power for me. PoE i couldn't manage to play for more than like 4 hours, even with someone just doing a build for me. that game has way too much stuff going on and on top of that has this like, incredibly depressing tone to the whole thing, it's not a fun world to be immersed in for long stretches of time give me another superhero arpg

D3 is like the finest machined cheese known to man. I can't say it's not of high quality, but it has literally no nuance to it and if you ever find a sick skill it's pasteurised out at a pace competitive with pre-nerf Silver Surfer. It's more content delivery system than game.

D3 is good and fun but the absolute lack of reason to play any sort of endgame is really lame, and seasons should be super fun but the small differences between them is boring
