Some sailor is whining that the people smoking weed outside his hotel may give him a contact high so if he fails a drug test tomorrow it’s not his fault.

Ok 1) No. This isn’t a Cheech and Chong movie.

2) Way to tell everyone you smoked weed last night dude.

It is 2019, surely there can't still be people that legitimately believe "contact high" is an actual thing that happens?

Hmm if i came back in as a jag i’d start as an o-3 over 6 years in pay. I’d make significantly more in base pay than any job i’ve been able to find not even counting bah and such.

Med waivers are easy to get for prior service and I got my hip fixed so i’m actually fine now.

Downside is I couldn’t apply until next year at the earliest. Guess i have a year to see if i can make anything of being a lawyer.

I suppose being a JAG can't be worse than being a SWO. Look forward to hearing about the many divorce talks you have with Sailors or correcting barrack lawyers

I might get an offer for a really high profile job next week. i’ll be doing free legal aid for the poorest people in my city. I’ll also have a lot of outreach and be the public face of the program. I’m going to be on the radio and tv with some frequency. I figure if I can’t turn a year of that into something more lucrative than jag, i’m going to put a serious look in to it. But I mean, I’d start as an LT with 7 years in pay wise. I’m struggling to break 60k without benefits. JAG is literally the highest paying potential job for me unless I kick rear end at this next job and someone wants to give me a bunch of money (doubtful).

Fed stuff requires more experience than I have, is almost exclusively in DC for lawyer work, and doesn’t pay as well as jag for places I would qualify.

Hey nerd I'm still salty about the two Air Guardsmen on AT orders from Texas who decided to go out a rapin' less than 48 hours after arriving in Japan, a week before I arrived. My introduction to USFJ was "welcome to Japan, you're locked on base, fucko!"

I felt like I was getting a contact high riding behind a group of stoners yesterday. Three of the four occupants of the vehicle were blazing up Cheech and Chong style and I was stuck behind them for ~5 miles or so on a twisty road. I wonder if DWI for smoking weed is a thing that CHP does now?
