Orsons books are filled with surprisingly detailed descriptions of naked children with their soapy bodies in the showers etc. Pretty sure he's going the way of Subway Jared. He also went completely insane when the producers tried to put the characters in the age 16 age bracket for the Enders game movie. Pages of rants about how they must be children. I like Wheel of Time but also skipped ahead a ton when I reread them a while back. The basic story is cool but dude loved pointless side characters and def had some strange notions about women. Also is the new GoT season starting soon? People seem to be talking about it more and somehow I doubt that's because a new book came out.

And to be fair to Jordan Eye of the World came out in 1990. He was born in the 40's. By the standard of his time, his female characters are relatively empowered.

It was historically accurate and people actually loved it, it was cancelled because Showtime was cheap as poo poo and didn't want to put up the money for either a fourth season or a two hour movie to wrap everything up so the whole thing ends with the script for said movie getting published as an ebook instead.
