Rewatched the episode, and missed that Bran was talking about Jaime when he said he was waiting for an old friend after Sam asked why he's outside lmao. Dude literally just chilled in that one spot until he showed up. Amazing.

Super slow episode even if you don't factor in the limited amount of time left. teagone posted:Rewatched the episode, and missed that Bran was talking about Jaime when he said he was waiting for an old friend after Sam asked why he's outside lmao. Going to guess the big war doesn't happen next episode either with it also being an hour long. Predicting it's an episode of tension as the living continue to fracture as the NK closes in on Winterfell, perhaps some big death near the end for a cliffhanger. Really feels like everything is hinting at Dany not being quite so great a queen and Tyrion's mistakes catching up to him. If episode 3 is 80 minutes I'm guessing it's where the war with the dead begins, perhaps the war starts to turn in ep 4 with Arya killing the dragon and ep 5 has NK with Mad Queen Cercei against the rest of the living?

I liked that Last Hearth looked a lot like the vision Dany had of destroyed Red Keep. I didn't realize that's what Bran was talking about when he told Sam why he was outside. I assumed it was a cheeky way to say he'd been waiting for Sam.

In each season, the fourth episode has always had some kind of "holy poo poo/aww gently caress" moment at the end. So you might be right with Arya slaying a dragon lol. Arya the Dragonslayer

Lycus posted:So they're loudly foreshadowing that Arya is going to be the one to down the undead dragon. Arya's on my list of big shocking deaths, so going out killing that dragon is a good way to do it. Hopefully we get to see her dicing up zombies and at least one or two proper full white walkers with valyrian steel before that happens. Some kind of stealth mission to try to assassinate the Night King would also be very in keeping with the character.

Sorry every GOT post I make is poo poo I forgot, but what was the dynamic between Bran and Jamie? Like, I remember Jamie paralyzed him by pushing him out the window while he was boning his sister, but why again doesn't everyone know Jamie did it and did Jamie know that he lived? Also, I kind of forgot Jamie was probably the biggest pile of poo poo on the show for the first couple of seasons. Totally forgot he tried to murder a kid so he wouldn't be embarrassed. IIRC he got that fat kid killed too for reasons I no longer remember. Impressive that they managed to make him a fan favorite in the end. Maybe I need to do a rewatch cause I'm mostly operating on vague memories at this point lol.

Jaime pushed him because he thought it was what Cersei wanted because the alternative would have probably been he, his sister, and his 3 kids being executed. Can't remember if the main Starks know now due to Brans script reading powers, but he could tell anyone he wants if he feels like it. Anyone else who knows that would matter is dead.
