The EU anthem is an instrumental version of the Ode to Joy.

Mostly because it would not be popular if it was sung in German I bet, it's not like the lyrics don't fit.

e: At least for the first two parts anyway, the religiousness is a bit awkward too I suppose.

By majority vote, the EU anthem is the My Little Pony theme song.

The vote is redone 3 months later. The overwhelming majority of EU citizens Polled want the Ode to Joy, however comitology decides the anthem will be "Money makes the world go round" or "The tentacle's mating call".

Protest vote is mobilized and the new EU anthem is the Tentacle Mating's call.

The quiz is based purely on MEP's voting records isn't it? Presuming so then I'd imagine its a lot more accurate than relying on what politicians claim to stand for.

I'm very stupid.
It does seem to differ from conventional wisdom in some ways - of the Dutch parties, I was closest to the Green party (GroenLinks) followed by the Labour party (PvdA), with the Socialist party (SP) trailing quite far behind. Normally I consider Green and Socialist to be about equally relevant to my preferences, with Labour being useless centrists, and when I take Dutch vote tests I tend to get Socalists and Greens first, with Labour trailing behind. I guess the Socialist party's euroscepticism have lead to their EU voting record to be rather different from what they would do nationally, or something? Or they're too populist and didn't do what they promised? Or they couldn't resist voting against immigrants and dirty foreigners? Who knows, perhaps I should have a closer look, and not vote for them in the EU elections!

Presumably it doesn't weigh according to what MEP's have voted on (and definitely not what they're gonna be voting on), which could be relevant. I might agree with 90% of someones positions, but if 50% of the votes are on poo poo where we don't, then they wouldn't actually represent me very well.
