I'm curious about the water damage. I hear that's often worse than the flames itself. This really sucks. It was such an awesome structure. It's too dark to see anything from the south of Paris anymore, but it seems it's still burning?

It's still burning, yes. They're trying to keep the fire from spreading to the bell towers.

So there's an attempt to block the government's sale of de Gaulle and Orly airports via referendum. The requirements look rather steep. They have 9 months to gather signatures of 4.7 million voters (10% of the electorate) over the internet.
