The way they're revealing the story with the spoilers is a good way of putting the story out there. I never really knew any of the stories before.

I have no strong feeling about the black blade but I am kinda confused why they made a big deal about it if they were just gonna destroy it without anything really happening

can't wait to see what's next for these Beloved Characters. maybe chandra will come up against a problem she can't solve with fire and will learn the virtues of self-control and cooperation. maybe liliana will act selfishly and deny she owes anybody anything, then at the last moment change her mind and come to grudgingly admit that maybe she cares about people after all. who knows? the sky's the limit!!!

It is a huge turn on art direction, since they’ve gone with heavily unified visual themes for so long and now it’s 36 distinct characters and their dogs plus 10 guild hodgepodge vs Egyptian blue zombies. It’s a lot to convey.

Apparently Wizards sent out a survey requesting feedback on names for a new multiplayer format, a new non-rotating format and a few names for upcoming sets that included the words Zendikar (ugh) and Shadowmoor (yay).

So it seems like even though gideon failed, his attempt inspired Liliana to rebel, even if it meant her death. Then Gideon transferred her death to himself, and Liliana turned the entire power of Bolas's spark-stealing army against him.
