Also, you can finally toss away your smelly old NES because someone managed to make a perfectly accurate version of Super Mario Bros 1 on the Commodore 64. Lol

Small update on that Retro game teaser in Reggie's going away picture

Someone is speculating that there is a matching hand on the opposite side of the picture, hidden behind the oddly tilted notebook, specifically a blue one, to match the joycons.

Go all the way to the right to see all the software . Then there should be a dropdown menu where you can select your sorting criteria.

I have mine sorted by recently played. If I sort by total playtime, disgaea is up there but I know I'll never play it again.

How did you get a firemans axe? And at the beginning, it seemed like they gave me just enough to get through everything. Resources are weird in the game. I just stopped for the day after going for one of the dynamic spawns, dying and coming back to see it had rotated so i couldn't grab my stuff. Lost 3 guns and all kinds of stuff.

Gonna keep playing though, it saved my base, just have to recraft everything, bags included.

It was in a cubbard.
I found the ace it wanted me to have. It's right next to the pallet but the circle doesn't show up right away.

Got into construction and the game seems pretty neat so far. Janky and low-poly but pretty alright.

I've only ever played 2D Marios. NES/SNES/DS - I got Mario:O with my Switch because everyone was raving about it and I'd never tried a 3D platformer.

I could see that it was a good game for people who like that sort of thing, but I felt like I was just being forced to do busy work in order to progress. It turns out I don't like 3D platformers.
Wonder if you’d like 3D Land (3DS) or 3D World (Wii U), they feel a lot more like 2D Mario games in 3D than the others. The rest pretty much build on the Mario 64 formula, which changed things up a lot (and became the archetype for all other 3D platformers?), like I’d say there’s a big emphasis on exploration and collecting. So I’m not sure you necessarily dislike 3D platformers in general, or just those common aspects of them.

What I'm saying is that I want 3D Land and 3D World on Switch.

It's weird that SM3DW is it's own game type in Super Mario Maker 2. I figured it would have just been integrated all the assets into New Super Mario Bros's game type.

They’re not really alike that much. I’m glad it’s in since it pretty much supersedes the NSMBU theme in every way except for maybe wall jump heavy levels.

As a total non-completionist (i.e. I have a tough time actually seeing a game through to the end in most cases before moving onto a different game) I did every single quest in the game + DLC and got to level infinity (200) on PC without having to push myself at all. It's one of my favourite games of all time and I will probably pick it up on Switch and do it again at some point. It's kind of like Skyrim, but it's not a great comparison. It's an open-world game, but the world essentially revolves around the one major city. Unlike Skyrim where there are umpteen different nondescript caves and a million sidequests, you can easily do every single quest in Dragon's Dogma and you will get to know every single area in the game if you do so. The combat is great, the class system is rewarding, and the gameplay loop is addictive. I highly recommend it.

But the first hour or so of the game is kind of a tedious tutorial section. There's a really slow wagon escort quest that caps off the tutorial, after which the game becomes great. So if you grab it, don't judge it until after you've finished that quest.
