this rules and it's exactly what dems should be doing rn

people think impeachment is bad because they imagine it to be an abrupt vote on articles and then handing it off to the senate who will never indict. but the solution to this problem isn't to never impeach, it's to draw out the time in the public's eyes as long as possible through control of the House.

Before the left loses control of the house? As long as we control the house? Either way, to what advantage?

If it's that we need more information/evidence/time to convince voters, maybe. Wish the leadership would let us know that's what's up though. Unless somehow some kind of secrecy is the point.

Bill de Blasio says Green New Deal will ban ‘inefficient’ steel and glass skyscrapers

"If the Big Apple is to become the Green Apple, it will have to ban the steel and glass towers that form its signature skyline, according to Mayor Bill de Blasio.

De Blasio, speaking on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” said that city’s most iconic structures – the tall skyscrapers seen from miles away – are the “biggest source of emissions” in New York City. The drastic change, and a switch to only renewable energy within five years, are necessary for Gotham to embrace the Green New Deal, de Blasio said.

The Green New Deal, championed by fellow New Yorker, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in Washington, is a radical measure that called for a massive overhaul of the nation’s economy and energy use to cut emissions."

I deal with this horseshit for a living. Most building owners provide heating and cooling on the basis of what is most economically beneficial to them. Over the past decade or two most building owners, both rental, condo, coop have moved towards the electrification of of cooking/heating/cooling appliances because in NYC you are required by law to provide, not ensure, heating and hot water for your tenant. Given our utility pricing, that means using gas as a fuel source if you want to maximize energy efficiency. The fact is that landlords are creating situations where the heating and hot water are carried by the tenants utility bill, not the 'common' bill which they are on the hook for, which is often electricity, which is the least efficient fuel source in our area.
