The other specifics, based on how things have everywhere forever (i.e. I could be totally off): If they're dirtbag leftists it's probably because they resent New Yorkers / hipsters / rich armchair socialists who don't do things. I’ve been thinking about their segment on Bernie’s Fox town hall, and while I agree that Bernie crushed the hell out of it, I think it was okay to be skeptical about his decision to go on. Left tube has been fighting a lot against the idea that we should debate white nationalists and defeat them with facts and logic. And even if Fox isn’t as overtly vile as Breitbart, it has more in common than not. Wanting to avoid legitimizing Fox News is more of a leftist concern than a centrist lib concern I think. Then again, there’s a difference between having an open forum and getting in a shouting match with Tucker Carlson. And while they were right that CNN is bad and would try to kneecap Bernie too, I think I can be forgiven for assuming that Fox would be the one to assemble the more hostile crowd. So I guess I’m not sure. What do you guys think?

What's the "legitimacy" people talk about re: Fox? They have their audience, their advertisers, their infrastructure; none of that changes when a leftist decides not to appear on Fox. Everyone who's capable of knowing what they are does or doesn't at this point, the fig leaf is long gone. There's been some success driving advertisers away from the worst of the worst but I think there's plenty of evidence (and even more explicitly in the case of Sinclair iirc) that management operates it as a propaganda project first and will sacrifice (short-term) profit to keep the bile churning. There's definitely things you should not do for them (actually work for them, go on Tucker to agree that the SJWs have made college gay, accept the invite if you can't actually hold your own) but if you're capable of clowning them in front of their own audience like Bernie did, I don't know what the material harm is supposed to be.
