Is Posey droppable at this point? I don't have the roster spot for a backup catcher right now and leaving him in the lineup everyday is getting painful. Willians Astudillo is looking awfully tempting on the wire.

Yes :sigh:

Buster was on my do not draft list this year, unfortunately. I think his upside at this point is .290 with a good OBP, lousy counting stats and <10 HR. That's playable but not so great that you'd kick yourself for dropping him if he hits that upside.

Buster is still a good IRL player but for fantasy, not so much.

I guarantee if you trade him to me he will hot up and the Cubs will overtake the Cards. Let's see where your homerism lies: with your real team or your fantasy team.

I don't want to do it, but I think I have to drop Jorge Polanco. Segura is coming back and I can't DL anyone else. Only other option is Castellanos but I think he'll pick it up eventually.

But as someone to pick up with the first transaction to DL, who will likely have more value come playoff time? Justin Upton or Matt Olson?

They are pretty even, but I'd lean Upton.

Really worried about Olson’s power returning. Upton has the higher floor for sure.

Someone dropped Folty and I have too many 1B/2B/3B eligible under-performers. Who would you drop out of Muncy/Shaw/McMahon?

It's a points league that heavily punishes strikeouts and undervalues walks imo

Batters Stat Category Value
Runs (R) 1
Singles (1B) 1
Doubles (2B) 2
Triples (3B) 3
Home Runs (HR) 4
Runs Batted In (RBI) 1
Stolen Bases (SB) 2
Walks (BB) .5
Strikeouts (K) -1
Grand Slam Home Runs (SLAM) 2

He's crushing it but August is a long time to wait

I almost added him a few days ago but looked at the Astros OF and Brantley/Springer/Redick is gonna be a tough outfield to crack. Maybe someone could take some ABs from Tyler White at DH but Kyle Tucker is on the 40-man roster and Alvarez isn't so he still might not get the next shot.

the path i see is he'll take over for white by june. reddick has also been kind of bad too, and they still have kemp for some reason, whom tucker could replace

Yeah Reddick has been really hot lately. But maybe I'll squat on Alvarez anyway, I'm not sure, I can't really use him but I love holding amazing prospects and he could be worth a lot in a trade even if I don't have room for him on my roster.

drat, looks like he got hot recently. he was flailing earlier. that .393 babip and depressed walk rate, though. seems like he's just making way better contact so far.

well, anyways, like i said, white is the one i question most.

My corner infield has been a mess. I have Candelario, Bour, and O'Hearn. There isn't a lot available either. Renato Nunez and Chavis are the only pick ups look intriguing.

What do you all think? I'm thinking of dropping Bour and O'Hearn for Nunez and Chavis
