I don't think most people who've WATCHED it could answer that question. FLCL or Fooly Cooly is a really goddamn weird and very short anime cartoon, based off a possibly even weirder comic book. There's only like six episodes in it. The music is exceptionally good and the animation is also very very good, but it's... really goddamn weird. Not like BAD weird where it makes you feel uncomfortable, it's just strange. There's a fuckin' South Park style parody at one point. The tone shifts all over the place. The art style shifts just as often, usually because the tone shifts. It shifts wildly between being extremely Japanese and just about everything else. I don't know if I'd recommend it because realistically nobody who doesn't already watch anime likes to be recommended to watch anime, and it's definitely not a good introduction to the whole concept because it's goddamn weird.
