I think it would be very, very funny if arya meets her direwolf, tries to pet her, like there's this moment you think she recognizes her, but no, it's a wolf attack and arya gets her throat ripped out. No moral!

It's also not like people will just forget these places existed and never return to them once all this war poo poo is over. Alao I'm assuming you meant North-South err Southish-North? Near but not above the wall? House Giantsbane would be subservient to whatever designates houses in the first place. I don't think they're very interested in bureaucracy.
