How about this: the story is a total stdh.txt and the author intended to write a false allegation, even if it turned out to be a real case of sexual harassment if applied to real life. The "just a joke" thing is a huge tell

as I mentioned the kid probably did do something inappropriate but, having interacted with school administrations as an adult, I fully believe they are capable of insane overreaction. their job is to preserve the parents’ sensibilities, not uphold the best interests of the children. I actually believe the story, but I don’t think it’s generalizable. I think well-educated, well-off boys of Jewish ancestry with attentive parents are probably much easier to disentangle from the alt-right than your typical embittered kekistani

I dunno how to react to that story. In one aspect, seeing a kid radicalized like that seems pretty straightforward given everything I've read about the alt-right. Other parts of me thinks the story about the false sexual harassment part doesn't add up (I think he totally did something if the story is actually true). I'm still unsure on if showing a kid neo nazis dressed up in kekistan garb would convince them that they're not cool. Could go either way to be honest.

I don't think it's a silver bullet, but the cornerstone of fighting Nazis is making them look foolish and/or powerless, whether it's the extremely online variety or the regular kind. I'll maintain that a factor in the collapse of the alt right was them showing up in public in dorky costumes and shouting memes, and getting face to face pushback from real live human beings. I'm not big on watching streamers, but look at how Destiny deals with Nazis. It's all pointing out the absurdity and making them say what all their meme bullshit is really about. If many kids look at a bunch of out of shape guys in their late 20s wearing costumes somewhere between backyard wrestlers and last minute Halloween party attire and thinks they're cool, I'll eat my hat.
