I was directed here from Ask Tell. I’d like to discuss trans issues, specifically the issue of trans women competing in and dominating women’s divisions of sports.

To start on the right foot: Trans women are women and trans men are men. I am 100% a supporter of the right to transition, to use the bathroom of the gender you identify with, etc. but the sports thing is the only issue I have a problem with. the reality is, trans women were not always physically women. many went through puberty as males, with testosterone making them generally larger and stronger than women who are born female and grow up that way. It seems unfair to me, and to anyone who is concerned with fairness in sports in general.

I don’t know the solution. I do know that labeling people like Paula Radcliffe as transphobic because they’re concerned about a complex issue is incredibly lovely behavior. sorry for the rant. thanks as always for reading my posts.

You didn't come to discuss anything, just barf up something you heard from someone who heard it and then tell us how to feel about issues that have nothing to do with you whatsoever.

Trans athletes have been competing for years and there hasn't been any domination. This is just TERF bullshit concern trolling and you fell for it.

Smarten up or gently caress off.

if you're even 1/100th of a percent sincere, maybe try reading up on this issue yourself now that you have some free time. here, i'll help you start:

yeah we did pretty much the same thing for a while but it slowly became something a bit less awkward and silly with time and practice, so hopefully that's where it'll go with you two. good luck :shobon:

oh cool. questions on trans issues from someone who has no loving clue and is parrotting poo poo from terfs!

my body frame is fairly small (i am 5'8" and my shoulders are not all that broad), my hands are tiny, and perhaps my feet could give me away (i am a US 11/EU 43), but my estradiol is around 560 pmol/L and 0.6 nmol/L for my testosterone, meaning that basically my body is not much different than your average cis woman and in fact i probably have far less T than they would

so yeah. i have an advantage: i can ask cute women to do things for me because they're generally stronger than i
