It was said before, but the idea that half of these people are actually committing to a series (as opposed to short stories/single pagers in a one-shot or mini-series or hardcover for the 80th Anniversary) seems incredibly unlikely, though it wouldn't shock me if a couple of these turn into "Chip Zdarsky brings back Marvex the Super-Robot, it spins off into a mini-series" sort of things.

Bleeding cool says it’s an anthology and some of these are only a single page sooooo

As soon as Erik Larsen was one of the names announced people picked up on it being an big 80th anniversary book because he already said on Twitter months ago he was working on something for Marvel for their 80th anniversary.

So it seems like they're giving Al Ewing the keys to the kingdom given the number of different stories he's getting.

52 whatevers on that list from 87 individual artists. Eight women so far as I can tell. Only one project with two women together.

Each Al Ewing story is the same story playing out differently based on who’s drawing it.

They're deffo gonna be one pagers, besides Al, who'll have the main story with a different artist each page.

Weird they have Walt Simonson but not Louise, after Chris Claremont she was probably the most important X writer of the 80s.

CB has been saying for a long while that they were planning an anthology like Marvel Premiere for 2019. Pretty sure I heard him say it on the Word Balloon podcast last summer. No surprise if all those teasers are for exactly that. In other recent Marvel book news, I was really excited to learn of the Marvel encyclopedia, and to see Amazon selling it for around half the cover price! When I was a lot younger, I didn't have money for comics, but I did manage to scrape together the cash for the marvel trading cards. I loved learning a little bit about all these different characters, ansd seeing all the different character design art. This is a big monster of a collection of all that kind of stuff! Sorry for the quality, but it's the best I could shoot with my tablet. I dig what Claremont says here, and that kind of browsing is exactly why I was so pumped to see this book!
