I still say guillotines are too involved and awkward; a bullet in a back alley is a lot more efficient and guns are easier to carry than a guillotine.

there is an element of public display that really needs to be present though, just purging the wealthy doesn't do anything about killing their image in the public mind.

Having them dragged onto the scaffold flinching and begging as their crimes and punishment are read aloud by the MC shrinks and humanizes them and makes them mortal. If there isn't a confess/beg session then it's just another tragic murder of an upstanding community benefactor.

Yeah. The Guillotine was originally promoted more as a way to painlessly execute people because it's supporters felt that this more humane execution method would be the first step to phasing out the death penalty entirely. But when they started needing to kill more people than "a few nobles, and other revolutionaries who were too revolutionary/not revolutionary enough" the French quickly turned to just executing them with gunfire or stuff like loading them onto barges and then sinking the barges to drown everybody.

Someone brought a crude guillotine to a protest outside Queen's Park here in Toronto to protest the coward Premier Douglas Ford (brother of crack mayor) cutting the ever-living gently caress out of every service he can imagine.

The front page of the Toronto Sun had a picture of the guillotine with the caption "REDS WANT HEADS", and Dougie called the loving provincial cops on the guillotine makers for threatening his personal safety.

Giuliani is heading to Kiev to dig up dirt on, among other people, Joe Biden's son Hunter.

quote:

WASHINGTON — Rudolph W. Giuliani, President Trump’s personal lawyer, is encouraging Ukraine to wade further into sensitive political issues in the United States, seeking to push the incoming government in Kiev to press ahead with investigations that he hopes will benefit Mr. Trump.

Mr. Giuliani said he plans to travel to Kiev, the Ukrainian capital, in the coming days and wants to meet with the nation’s president-elect to urge him to pursue inquiries that allies of the White House contend could yield new information about two matters of intense interest to Mr. Trump.

One is the origin of the special counsel’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. The other is the involvement of former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s son in a gas company owned by a Ukrainian oligarch.

Mr. Giuliani’s plans create the remarkable scene of a lawyer for the president of the United States pressing a foreign government to pursue investigations that Mr. Trump’s allies hope could help him in his re-election campaign. And it comes after Mr. Trump spent more than half of his term facing questions about whether his 2016 campaign conspired with a foreign power.

“We’re not meddling in an election, we’re meddling in an investigation, which we have a right to do,” Mr. Giuliani said in an interview on Thursday when asked about the parallel to the special counsel’s inquiry.

“There’s nothing illegal about it,” he said. “Somebody could say it’s improper. And this isn’t foreign policy — I’m asking them to do an investigation that they’re doing already and that other people are telling them to stop. And I’m going to give them reasons why they shouldn’t stop it because that information will be very, very helpful to my client, and may turn out to be helpful to my government.”

He has been told several times what tariffs are and who pays. He either doesn't listen, doesn't care, or believes he can bullshit others into believing the Strong Daddy Trump nonsense.

The stock market is up because Donnie is awesome. The stock market is down because the Chinese are colluding with Democrats to make him look bad. Border apprehensions are down because his policies are working. Border apprehensions are up because it's a national emergency and his policies are working
