So they'd know exactly how many people were going without their medicine due to the price.

Maybe the American healthcare industry just really likes ironic symbolism. Same reason they replaced the rod of Asclepius, god of medicine, with the symbol of a god of traders and thieves and who also led the dead to the underworld.

It relies on behaviors that are found in many breeds,” says Heidi Parker, a genome scientist at the National Human Genome Research Institute who, with Ostrander, pioneered some of the early work on dog genomes.

True, but Hermes was also the protector of the forgotten and the downtrodden, the god of boxing, and the inventor of masturbation so they aren't even living up to that example.

genetics are not connectable to learned behaviour. There may be many dogs who are bad with other dogs, or even afraid of humans because of a history of abuse, but saying that it's a genetic condition would be like claiming pellagra victims had bad genes since they go demented each year. The problem will always be caused by or exasperated horrifically by capitalism under capitalism. We need a mass spray-neuter public works project, free dog food, public doghouses, covered vaccines, universal vet care, and of course socialization and training programs. And while we do dog socialism we can do human socialism, even if the dogs deserve it more than us. please knock Mom! posted:There is NO evidence these dogs are aggressive towards humans, yes they may be vicious towards other dogs, but there is no specific evidence that they are more likely to maul humans as well, and furthermore yes? did you intend to just summarize the findings of the researchers or was this supposed to be ironic? although aggression is rather complicated and isn't directly equatable with a propensity for violence. In any case if you read the article you'd see that even this relatively controversial study only claims it can explain ~15% of the difference in observed behavior between breeds by genetics.

Or maybe just less dogs since people don't really need them for hunting/protection anymore and they suck, lol imagine you taxes going to loving free dog food, and vet bills for a bunch of people with dogs. I never understood why I as a person in this society have to share the streets with those hosed up hunting animals, they maul kids, attack randoms, bark, bite etc gently caress dogs and their owners.

Ah dog people, the only way to defend their choice of pet is to start attacking people's mental health. For reference: my aunt has a dog, and dogs are generally nice, but free dog food and vet visits sounds hella dumb. Mandatory sterilization of all pets is good tho.
