A buddy of mine has a modern Jeep (don’t know offhand which one, but it’s a DI V-something) that he bought new around five years ago. It just dropped a valve seat and made a great big mess. It’s A Jeep Thing and good thing he’s handy.

I have no loving idea how those are legal (... they probably aren't), but they're a very common sight on I-10 and I-35. Also on US-54. It's pretty impressive how much poo poo a beat up Kia SUV can pull behind it, though you know that transmission is gonna be a smoking wreck before they get to their destination. If it shits out on the way, meh, ditch it on the shoulder and start driving the next car in line.

Yup. That's him. I'm saying it was a terrible trend for very impressionable people who have no personality who wanted to borrow that identity for a while. This is how fandoms are born and fandoms, as we all should know, are awful even if not car specific. But bumper stickers and, in extreme cases like Trump 2020 lady, entire vinyl stickers are mirrors for that mental disease.
