Without "increases stat" chemistries, at level 50 you didn't have enough points to train to 100% success chance for the level 40 weekly missions and the same thing applies to the level 50 missions with level 60 squad mates.

Mogstation is the item shop where you buy mounts, emotes and other stuff with real money, yeah. They were promotional items for a fan fest (so you already had to buy them with real money) before. So far they usually added promotional items to the Mogstation after a while, but not all of them. Seasonal event items also get added to Mogstation (usually a year later when the next version of the event comes out).

Eventually all event stuff is purchased with real money so you can get it if you missed the event, yes.

Can anyone help me with the Monk rotation? I can do the double TK opener for the most part, but after that what is the best pattern of skill usage? I know keeping up the various buffs and dots from the bread and butter combo is important, as is weaving the oGCDs, but when do I go into another RoF+TK combo? Every time RoF is up? Do I use internal release every time it's up or do I hold it for 30 so I can have it line up with Riddle of Fire every time?

Basically you shouldn't hold any cooldowns, except Perfect Balance. See here for a detailed explanation.

You're a bit past the halfway point of the 2.0 game.

You're maybe a third? or a quarter of the way through the entirety of A Realm Reborn content, including post-game patch content.

Raise Chris Coons' taxes so that we can have Medicare for All.

It’s not good to lie to people. ARR has a really dull story that doesn’t get better until the back half of the patch content. The content is fine, the quests range from okay to extremely bad, but then pre-heavensward kicks in.

It's pretty universally agreed that the Costa Del Sol bit is easily one of the lowest points (if not the lowest point) of the story from 2.0 to the present, so compared to that it definitely picks up.

Yeah. Costa Del Sol was kinda annoying but had it's funny parts. And the payoff was good.

The aspected crystal chain was just gently caress OFF in increasingly louder volumes.

Yeah, ARR in general spends way more time with stretch-it-out fetch quests than is polite. Which I'd like to think is in part to the dev team being kind of pinched from the hasty remaking of the game. When it finally stops dicking you around pointlessly in the later 2.x patches it's great, but I've been replaying the MSQ stuff past that crystal fetch quest and gearing up for the end boss... and I'm still pretty charmed by the overall story. Having improved considerably as a player probably helps make the solo duties feel less odious, at least....

The post-2.0 nonsense really should be trimmed down. I'm a lore nut and I love all the NPCs but even I think they could do something to trim some of the cruft. The most amazing stuff is blockaded behind this avalanche of tedium. I don't need a full 25 buck story skip, can't we get a 5 buck sum-it-up past the boring poo poo?

The parts of the Costa del Sol quest that were actually in the area were fine, I liked doing a dungeon for the sole purpose of getting some cheese (I cannot for the life of me understand what goblins are saying, maybe there was some other reason too) and then reinventing the Eorlean wine industry. The other parts were very dull.

Many of the sidequest chains in HW and SB feel like those low parts of the 2.0 MSQ story. Not to say they're bad, though; it's just some optional world-building if you're interested in seeing it.

Speaking of which: it's such a minor thing but I wish there were more Storyteller achievements. The highest one is from 100 sidequests which is really easy to hit.

That's true, now that you mention it. I was quite amused by the story of the guy that keeps fishing up monsters (for example), but I could see everyone getting annoyed if that was a necessary part of the MSQ.

yeah, HW moved all the filler from main story quests to sidequests and it's way better just for that. i don't mind doing the silly side things at all, when i can take a break from it all when i want to.

The benchmarks all have a full character creator, and you can save your characters in that and use that appearance in the actual game.

I've won the Jumbo once, on the very first drawing after I resubbed at Stormblood's release. Immediately bought Fenrir.

Yeah, it's one of very few solo duties where you don't have guaranteed healing, so it's important to keep his damage to a minimum. The wide cone AOE always targets you, so you should always keep Noctis and yourself on opposite sides of the boss.

Based on price alone, yeah, Sabotender for best flex. Also, Fenrir's been around since the Gold Saucer was first introduced, while Sabotender came in 4.5.
