Would you be my new best friends?

Sometimes it doesn't but that is fine too, they should let the ones who can improvise do so and then use their writers to help the others out so EVERYBODY looks good.

Not sure if it is purely an apocryphal story but I recall a story about Rock complaining to Vince that he was going out with a scripted promo but HHH was improvising around the lines he knew Rock was going to say, which was making Rock look bad. Vince's response back then was,"Well you better learn to improvise too!" and the result was the Rock becoming a gigantic star and the feud being 1000 times better.

noise in your head.

Corbin was legitimately hilarious during this UUDD with Breezy and Woods, and imagine that, it's just them shooting the poo poo about life on the road:

Baron Corbin the character is rotten. The dude behind him is actually pretty rad if they'd just let him be.

I liked the behind the scenes thing they did with Corbin on the network where he straight up admitted he's here to get paid and gives zero shits about wrestling. I appreciate that kind of candor.

Yup. The guy could be such a star but they will never handle him right.

I feel awful for anyone that has signed there in the last two years especially. Their careers will be ruined by the time they get out.

I think that's the biggest issue, these guys can be really fun & personable if you give them a little freedom...but WWE always restricts what they say or doesn't let them have a character that "fits" their personality better. Look at New Day, how far do you really think they'd have gone if they stuck with that original serious religious group type gimmick instead of being silly & over the top all the time?

Because uh...

And what's with all the randomly capitalized words? Are "Sincerely Apologized" and "Better Human Being" just trademarked pr tag lines or something?

I think he meant to say "No one is perfect, including me." forgetting or not being able to include the me, making it look particularly funny when Vince randomly showed up at the end.

I think the random capitals are just the effects of autocorrect and not being bothered to correct it yourself, but you're right about the first bit.

I'm 99.9% sure it is meant to say "Lars I applaud you for seeking out myself & others on the WWE Roster to not only sincerely apologize, but also seek guidance as to how to move forward in being a better human being than you were 9 years ago. Nobody is perfect, including me. Thank you Vince McMahon for taking action!!"

But he forgot to add the me after including, and also some punctuation there that would have separated it from Vince McMahon.

I choose to believe that its another example of how the problem isn't "Vince", its the culture of WWE, and a guy who has never worked a single day in the wrestling business outside of WWE and has spent a decade employed is gonna just be indoctrinated into that.

Grimey Drawer

Was this one of those cases of a handful of mods with a million edits each deciding for no reason to fight to the death over something extremely banal so 90% of people reading wrestler wikis would get pissed off? I still find myself checking out wrestler pages to see moves and remembering after the fact that they’ve been gone for years

Around 2008-2010 English Wikipedia decided to crack down on cruft/fan cruft and that really decimated a lot of the dumb and fun articles about comics, video games, and wrestling.

It’s why you’ll often see articles titled “List of [franchise] characters”. If editors couldn’t eliminate fan minutiae, they walled it off into list articles
