The other 2 worst teams got higher, bad against their odd picks so by the time they were in the final 3 the Knicks were a 14% chance while the Pelicans and Grizzlies were 6%. But yes, rigging is always on the table for fans/sports media. Its mostly just a Knick persecution complex though because we're terrible and deserve it and hate ourselves.

Like 99.9% of lottery bitching can be explained by people not understanding how probability works and interpreting "best odds" as "complete lock". The NBA flattened the odds to make it more likely that the worst teams would get jumped and people are still losing their minds about exactly that happening. The coaches' film room should really use way more of the screen on the actual game too but I get that they don't think you'll be able to figure out who is who it they don't show them talking. They at least do a split screen instead of blocking off part of the game
