I just googled cast iron keycaps and was disappointed they aren't a thing Brass would be acceptable I just need something real dumb for next keyboard build Maybe I should shapeways or buy a 3d printer

Wirecutter recommends the WASD Code 87 or 104 keyboards. Are this an goode choice for babby’s first mechanical keyboard? What’s the quietest option? If you’re going to go in for $160 on a Code, I would recommend looking at a Kira. It is a significantly better keyboard. Right now they have the standard/black case version with their “True” switches for $179.

It’s gotta be red or black switches though, BORAT VOICE MY WIFE really isn’t a fan of teh clicky-clacky. Ergo keyboards make my hands hurt, and a volume knob and media buttons are nice-to-haves. How about: Any reason *not* to go with a Logitech G610 Red?
