Survivor South Africa S7 started. The first episode is pretty good. The gimmick is Island of Secrets which is roughly Ghost Island without the "This is X's idol from season Y" dressing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7MOG0HiVQI You need a South African proxy/VPN or a friend. They might take down the geoblock at some point but idk.

I don't remember fully but didn't most of the EoE people vote for Chris and the ones voted out late voted for Gavin?

Aurora was on EoE for two minutes or so, not sure she counts as an exception.

I would have hated to be on this season but it was entertaining to watch and the fact it was built for certain players to win and production are pissed that this didn’t happen is the icing on the cake. Who knows what this means for future seasons but I’m on board with giant Sandra statue

I think of the list of winners not there the only one I really would miss is Earl. Maybe Aras.

Not cause I like him, just cause I think it would be REALLY interesting He's pretty much persona non grata in the Survivor community now isn't he? Overall, very satisfied with the casting. Especially happy to see Denise, Kim and Yul back. Casting both Amber and Rob is the only kind of weird kink, but if there's a couple out there I could see going after each other if it suits their individual games, it's them. Plus, these people all know each other anyway.

It seems odd they would bring on a married couple on to the show. But it's not really that strange when it comes to doing an all winners season, where the outcome is almost certainly going to based on the outside relationships that they all have with each other going in anyway... Also, it's probably not that surprising that they didn't bring Richard Hatch back, with the issues they had in All Stars and his tax troubles...

Yeah, I get it. While I would prefer Mike over Ben too, I can see bringing the latter back as a way to see how he actually stacks up, hopefully without a million idols. Adam's the other one I can't really be excited for, but who knows, maybe he'll surprise me. SLICK GOKU BABY posted:It seems odd they would bring on a married couple on to the show. Well half of the cast have played with each other anyway. Tony/Sarah, Yul/Parvati, Natalie/Jeremy, Ethan/Amber, etc. It's only really the recent one-timers and Danni who haven't and I'm sure they've been rubbing shoulders at alumni gatherings anyway.

This looks like a page of the Barr-redacted Mueller Report. Is it really necessary? When will the embargo be lifted? Will there be 2 teams at the start? A married couple could find themselves competing with each other.

Tina should replace Sarah; otherwise, the women's side is perfect, and really amazing that Danni and especially Kim agreed to this. They're both deep cuts ala Colin/Christie on TAR this season. Tina played just a few years ago and came in fourth after several sudden death wins on Redemption. I'm sure she doesn't have the name brand Boston Rob, Sandra, or Parvati do but she did win the most-watched season of the show. The men's side is "fine" but could've been better. I assume Cochran must have turned this down for whatever reason - no way he wouldn't not be casted. Also shocked to not see Aras, Tom, or Earl on this. JT kinda blew his chances on Game Changers. Nick, Wendell, and Adam are okay but they would've all showed up on a future all-star season, so seems like a few wasted slots here. Ben should probably have been switched out with Mike. Is Todd still going through alcohol/drug problems? China was such a huge part of Micronesia/HvV so it's weird seeing it get zero representation here. And it's odd to have an All-Winners season without Hatch. If not now, then when?

Redmond (the guy who runs InsideSurvivor) hints here that the reason Hatch isn't back is because of the Sue incident and CBS catching flack for everything Les Moonves. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/survivorsucks/s40-speculations-discussion-t135310-s820.html#p13217006

And it's odd to have an All-Winners season without Hatch. If not now, then when? Todd, Chris Daugherty and Tom likely had health issues, and I wouldn't be surprised if Bob and Tina had some concerns due to age. I think Jenna and Natalie White are done with Survivor (the latter has pretty much removed herself from all social media). I think Aras might be done too, but I'm not sure. Brian is a sociopath. Earl just had a baby. Cochran may have issues of conflict since he writes for CBS, but I think he's also satisfied with his win and doesn't want to come back. As for Mike, my guess is that him and Ben filled too similar a niche and they just decided to go with the latter for some reason. Ethan is the most surprising inclusion because of health concerns (but if he's cleared, he's cleared). J.T. is the most surprising exclusion, and to a lesser degree Vecepia (even if she wasn't extremely popular, neither was Danni). EDIT: Apparently Vecepia wasn't even asked. Vernacular posted:He's pretty much persona non grata in the Survivor community now isn't he? While taping Survivor in 2002, Heidik claimed that he was a used car salesman. But it was later revealed that he had also worked as a soft-core porn actor alongside his then-wife C.C.[5] As an adult film star, he went under the name "Dave Roth."[6] After Survivor: Thailand finished taping, Heidik got a restraining order against C.C. over an assault which he claimed she perpetrated against him in November 2002. But a few weeks later, on December 16, his wife's scheduled court date, he did not show up for the hearing. Prior to the court date, the restraining order had been lifted.[5] He divorced C.C. four years later and quickly remarried. On July 5, 2006, Heidik was arrested in Douglas County, Georgia, on charges of shooting a puppy dog with an arrow. When police came to his house, he tried to flee in his car, but was quickly apprehended.[7] Binary Logic posted:Is it really necessary? When will the embargo be lifted? One person said they didn't care to be spoiled, but I don't care and it's not really a spoiler. We're all only going to care for a few days.
