Bertrand Hustle posted:I read somewhere that cats understand smooches I have bred a unique litter that can understand lipstick, however as they're my property I will not let anyone adopt them for any less than $1,2000 trillion If you are unable to raise this amount I'm forced by the market to euthanize every single kitten

Why would there be a video like this with no sound?

Analytic Engine posted:imgur always changes into an mp4 (so you can't download or link to them easily) Or because video codecs/file formats are vastly more efficient at storing video data than the GIF image format, so imgur gets to save a ton of bandwidth. (At the cost of some CPU time to do the initial conversion, but that's only once per image, whereas they save on bandwidth for every download after the one-time conversion to H.264 video in a MP4 container.) The quality of that video looks way too high to have been converted from GIF, in any case.

Oxxidation posted:speedy little varmint, isn't he Yeah, totally. It reminded me of the greyhound mix my family adopted when I was a kid. The lab we had at that point would knock to go outside to chase squirrels. We'd just let him out, because frankly it was purely aspirational. That mix, though, caught a squirrel on the first day. We had to knock on the glass door before opening it to warn the squirrels, and they figured out what that noise meant by day two.

when an antelope bounces around like that it's called 'pronking' they do it to show off how strong and fast and agile they are, they're saying "you can't catch me!! don't waste your time!!!"

Samurai Sanders posted:I dunno how it can feel safe moving around like crazy when it has giant spikes attached to its head. Evolutionarily speaking, the video kinda answers that question; they're not really at an angle likely to cause accidental self-impalement even while bouncing about, and anything else getting stabbed is either by design or a whole lot of not their problem.

Well, not the best quality, but I took these myself on a walk Sunday morning. First we have our very common garter snek Then there’s this guy, the decidedly uncommon, for Ohio, Eastern Newt I’ve walked this particular trail for 2 consecutive springs now and never seen these before, but Sunday they were out thick.
