I once worked for a company that encouraged current employees to barge in on new people eating lunch and "welcome them to the company". I did it exactly once as a newish starry eyed employee and then realised how uncomfortable it is for everyone but that is how I sat at a table of Asian women who all discovered they have the same face blindness for older white men and it was very vindicating. If Q are all non-white people who aren't that used to Caucasian faces then this all sounds much more plausible.

Cross-race effect is real and everyone is worse at distinguishing between people who don't belong to their ethnic group. It's a big reason why we need to reform our standards and procedures for eye witness identification.
