When I heard about Tobias and his deal, I wondered about the other Pokemon he had. It seemed like he had a theme of Legendary duos, so naturally I assumed he had Lugia or Ho-oh.

I'm even more interested in the future adventures of Max and Ralts now that Max has revealed that he wants to become a Gym Leader. Does he plan to defeat a region's Gyms using just Psychic-types? Or will he just be the Misty to someone else's Ash? Will Ken and Mary of the Pokemon Mystery Club be his equivalent of the Team Rocket trio, always trying to steal his Psychic-type Pokemon for science? We'll most likely never find out, but it's fun to imagine. He never actually specifies that he plans to be a Psychic-type Gym Leader, but between the Ralts, his friendship with two different Psychic-type Legendaries, and his nerdy personality, it seems like a reasonable assumption. Good god LMAO I legit think that the movies for Gen 7 are an attempt at figuring out what to actually do with movies going forward. Remake arcs, remake a whole movie but in another medium, or do a fully original feature-length story with gorgeous animation, new writers and directors that explicitly avoid the common complaints of all previous movies and overall have tight themeing and characters. I'm gonna be so disappointed when it turns out they'll just try and do Johto in CG Movie format next.

gently caress it, here's a random 10 of Sun and Moon that are super nice: 007 - That's why Litten is a Scamp. Fun little introduction to Litten, good goofs, good heart. 016 - They Might Not Be Giants! The good poo poo: an episode where Popplio and Rowlett are the protagonists and the humans mostly are offscreen searching for them. Continues Litten's story and Popplio and Rowlett have excellent chemistry. 021 - A Journey Ends, Another Begins. Litten is captured. Stuff happens. 024 - Alolan Open House! Ash's mom comes to visit and Ash has an oral presentation! This one humanizes Ash to a degree I love. Anyone can relate to trying to do an oral presentation at school and for whatever reason not feeling capable of it. 042/043 - Alola, Kanto! and When Regions Collide! The class goes to Kanto to visit! The whole class has good goofs, specially Kiawe. Lots of little nostalgia nods, but mostly good-rear end goofs and some of the best animation in the show. Second episode is a battle sakuga fest. 059 - Tasting The Bitter With The Sweet! How Lana and Mallow became friends, with Drampa. It is extremely adorable. 064 - Satoshi and Passimian! A Touchdown of Friendship!! Banned episode because Ash dresses up as a passimian, including face paint. Beyond that, it's a very, very good showcase of Ash being excited about the mere idea of Pokemon, and a good ol' "team of losers are trained up to win the big game" story. 073 - Why Not Give Me A Z Ring?! The third or fourth episode of Team Rocket being competent and pulling off being protagonists while being dumb evildoers. 079 - Showering The World With Love! The class learns about the adorable Minior. 084 - The Shape of Love to Come! Ash and Poipole meet Mina and get excited about painting. This one includes my favorite Ash line in the whole show.

One of my favorite Team Rocket-centric episodes, I forget when it is, but James' Chimecho gets sick when they happen to be near some relatives of his he's actually fond of. So fond of, in fact, that he makes Jessie and Meowth promise to actually behave and not do anything bad so that he can hide the fact that he's with a criminal organization while they're there. Naturally, they break their word, and, trying to go behind James' back, try to steal some of the Pokemon hanging out on the premises of James' Nanny and Pop-pop. James flips the gently caress out and actually sides with Ash in battle against Jessie and Meowth. Holy poo poo. Dude shows more backbone in that one episode than almost the entire rest of the series combined.

The Charizard one is so broken you can win basically against any other deck even without knowing what you're doing. Otherwise, the new Mewtwo deck is pretty cool but requires you to figure out how to setup your Incinearoar and Darmatian while constantly Welding fire energy all over the place. The Zeraora deck isn't bad either if you are lucky enough to get Magnezone up early.
