I think this was one of my favorite episodes on TV and now when I think space casinos instead of Ep VIII I can remember Simmons and Quake super high.

I’ll be honest the constant Fitz/Simmons separation is really annoying me now. Especially the final scene from this episode.
We had: Fitz’s brain damage
Simmons undercover
Simmons in space
Fitz in the mainframe
Simmons and Co in the future
Fitz dying
Fitz frozen in space
Fitz kidnapped

Really.... really? I can accept crazy aliens etc but this is just blueballing the audience.

Sadly, this is the standard MO for the Whedons. They refuse to deviate from it. When the show ends, one of them will be dead. (Fitz or Simmons, that is.)

Yeah I think with this last time it went from being frustrating to hilarious. They'll probably be back together at the end of this pod which is why it's fine, but drawing it out any more would be a bad idea.

Pretty much this. Especially with how sudden it was this time.

Also we need them to get back together soon for the amazing "well I married future you then he died. Also, you're scary as gently caress and tortured Daisy"

I'm waiting for Fitz to reveal that he has zero crazy in his head and the Doctor poo poo was a result of 75 years in cryo so he's just fine.

Also "We have a grandson that you hate. Time doesn't work at all like you expected (maybe write it down in case the Avengers ever need to know about time travel some day?). Also, Coulson died and now somebody looking like him wants to destroy the earth."

Too bad they'll probably skip over "You named the newly-discovered Fear Dimension that leaked into the basement of our base at one point."

They let him walk around talking to an imaginary Simmons while he was recovering from pretty severe brain damage. I think it's safe to say Shield could stand to improve with it comes to the mental health of the people that work there.

Since Terrans don't leave the earth very often, the galactic community only see exceptional examples, and probably has a pretty specific view of them.

Let's look at a list! (I'm assuming we've all seen the movies at this point.)

- Captain Marvel: Has been kicking space rear end for decades. One of the most powerful individuals yet seen in the movies.
- Starlord: Unexecptional pirate and artifact hunter, but saved led a group that very publicly saved the galaxy once, and much less publicly a second time.
- Daisy Johnson: Has been in space six months, is scary enough to show up on as a threat in some kinda galactic database. Dumpstered a strike team while tripping balls.
- Fitz: Killed the controller, defrauded a casino multiple times, cut a man's arm off to use to apply his blood, which he used as an incendiary to escape capture, is wanted by the chronicoms for "breaking time"
- Simmons: Enhanced interrogation, spacedrugs.
- Piper and Davis: Well not everyone's been a space badass, yet.

And these are only the ones we've seen so far. There's bound to be more!

Oh - not counting Infinity War - they really didn't see anyone outside of the plot.

just because there haven’t been tons of humans in space doesn’t mean the galaxy isn’t aware of them. The Asgardians for example have the bifrost that goes to earth and have been there

Ah, so everyone's just really well read on obscure backwater planets.

I'm mostly jesting. I did really enjoy Farscapes "what the frell is a Yoo-Man?" moments

Before that, when they’re all arguing in the lab, he tells the, that activating the Tesseract was a signal to everyone that the Earth was ready for a higher form of war.

...and then we kinda kicked the rear end of an army sent by Thanos, which no one else in the universe seems to be capable of doing, and with technology they consider primitive, so at this point it’s likely that a lot of people out there are actually a little terrified of humans and hope we stay the gently caress on our planet.

I AM SPUTNIK'S PARACHUTE ACCOUNT
I have questions about this season so far.

Did season 4 and 5 happen? I realize that the Framework compressed a lot of time, and then season 5's space shenanigans really ignored time, but a few things seemed to have totally ignored.

Is Simmons pregnant? Did she have the kid, and left the child back on Earth? I could have sworn she was having morning sickness.

Did Daisy forgive other Fitz for torturing her? I thought it was a work in progress and then, oops, rebar.

Speaking of Fitz, this version was still The Doctor, right? And then add in brain damage from the bends, and whatever PTSD being a SHIELD agent has provided, and he's one bad day away from going nuts again, right?

I was under the impression this happened before the snap, and is all subject to erasure... am I right about that? Or is AoS just out of sync with the Marvel Universe? That would explain why a mass murderer with Coulson's face has attract zero Avenger attention... but that's just how the AoS universe works.

Speaking of how the world views SHIELD: SHIELD is operating openly again. Marked cars in broad daylight, a budget to hire new agents it seems, and plans for an academy. Is just a handwave pardon for saving the world from Graviton?

This show is usually pretty good about the details, and heavy handed with foreshadowing... but I do like that this season has been more fun.

Lastly, and this one is the most subjective:

Were Quake and Simmons bonding in a tripping balls way, or an actual chemistry way? When Quake pointed out that she wanted her own Fitz; she probably didn't mean involuntary surgery Fitz, and was quick to point that out, but she may have been hinting she wanted someone like that. And there's 5 people on the SHIELD search mission. And space gets lonely? I thought they were building towards Quake saying something she definitely should not have been saying, when they were interrupted under the table. I can see it being an unrequited crush kind of thing, because nothing is more apropos than Fitz and Simmons finding one more reason to not be together, like an impromptu kiss, or misinterpreted hug. I just feel like they might be going that way.
