well, not exactly, the cuts are still planned, they're just stopping the retroactive cuts which would have forced a second tax bill from the municipalities because they had already passed their budgets and they can't legally run a deficit

weirdly, i don't think the province doing it was illegal, the municipalities just had to deal, and the only thing they could do to deal would be a second round of property tax so naturally everyone said fine, we'll do it, and we're putting your name on the top of the bill

I just wanted to post that I went to elementary school with St. Albert MP Michael Cooper and I can post a lot of funny poo poo about him if anybody is interested. He wasn't a roller backpack kid but he had serious roller backpack energy about gim.

Not that this stops them from issuing another "because doug's an idiot" tax bill next year, of course. I think that would be funny.
