I mean yeah its a bad deal if you want online only and don't see yourself enjoying any of the free games because you already played them all as they came out (how the gently caress even, I've been on the same three games for half a year...) I'd rather pay $50 and get a ton of games vs pay $20 to access a feature that is free on PC. But yeah the free games are clearly an upsell on a regular ol online sub

It sucks and is stupid, sure, but I don't see why it's such a deal breaker for people. Hopefully it will be added down the line.

I completely agree, trying to quantify the value of plus by using the msrp of each digital download is dumb but that's where the convo was when I jumped in  Using that metric, these super old games are worth way more than $50

I got Rocket League for free at launch from PS+ and it felt like hitting the jack pot. It's a game that had it not been free at launch for PS Plus users I'm willing to say may not have exploded like it did. It looked dumb as hell and me and my friends only downloaded it cause it was free so why not.

And they do play with friends, they mostly play lan and local though, so this doesn't really affect them.

I think the situation with MM2 annoys me so much because of the fact that people are making such a big deal out of this, compared to every other time online on a Nintendo system has been mediocre.
